It is increase in urine flow rate.

Diabetes insipid us (DI) – It is the condition in which large amount of hypoormolar. urine is produced with extreme thirst.
Types:-
- Central – decrease production of vasopressin.
- Nephrogenic – decrease response, to vasopressin.
- Dipsogenic – excessive intake of fluids.
Gestational – occurs only during pregnancy and the postpartum period.
During pregnancy, placenta produces vasopressinase, which breaks down ADH. Gestational DI occurs due to excessive production or impaired clearance of vasopressinase.
Treatment:- Central DI and gestational DI respond to desmopressin. Neurogenic DI respond to a thiamine diuretic.
Diuretics
Diuretics are the drugs which increase the urine flow rate. They are medically used in the condition of increase extracellular fluid volume or plasma volume. Diuretics are used in the following conditions.
- Hypertension
- Heart failure
- Liver cirrhosis
- Water Poisoning
- kidney diseases
