It has air collar to adjust the available air while burning. It is used to heat the instrument used for wax manipulation and carving. It should give blue flame when burning.
Model Trimmer
Model trimmer is electric equipment used to trim and contour the dental casts. The model trimmer has abrasive wheel which rotates to trim the cast. It has cast holding stand or work table. The model trimmer has provision for water inlet. Water is sprayed on abrasive wheel to prevent clogging and keep it clean of dental
plaster or stone. Water supply is maintained for at least 1 minute after trimming is over. This is done to flush out the dental stone/plaster and to prevent clogging.
Bench Lathe
This equipment is used for variety of laboratory procedures. It is used for gross trimming, grinding, finishing, and polishing procedures. The abrasive grinding wheel is attached at one end and the other end has provision for attachment of rag wheel, trimming burs, or stones.
Hydraulic Press
It is a hydraulic equipment. It has provision to slowly increase pressure according to need. This equipment is used during packing procedure to intimately close flask. During trial closure 1,500 psi pressure and for final closure 3,500 psi pressure is applied on flask under hydraulic press.
Dewaxing Unit
This is electric equipment used for dewaxing or wax elimination procedure. It has heating coil to heat the water in water bath. During dewaxing procedure molten wax may come out through the flask and mix with water, to
discard this water tap is provided. Flask and clamp assembly are placed in boiling water for 5 minutes for dewaxing procedure.
Acrylizer Unit
It is a electrical equipment used for acrylization of heat cure acrylic resin. It has provision for water bath and special mechanism (thermostat) for providing time and temperature control. The temperature and time duration can be set by provided mechanism. If long curing cycle is required for curing the acrylic resin, the temperature can be set at 74°C using temperature control and time
can be set for 8 hours using time control, so the same temperature will be maintained for required time interval.
Deflasking Unit
This is pneumatic equipment. It is used for separation of two halves of flask after
polymerization of complete denture. Some equipment has provision of pneumatic chisel to separate cured denture from investment plaster.
